Your artistic journey, did you pursue formal education in the field of music or was it just stepping into this domain?

I’m a self-taught musician, driven by the belief that anyone can find their voice and rhythm with the right amount of dedication and confidence. While my formal education lies outside the realms of traditional music schooling, I’ve embraced the philosophy that the essence of music lies in the mental, emotional, and spiritual confidence one brings to it.

Let us talk about your involvement in musical performances or events. Share your experience in such engagements.

Over the past year, I’ve ventured into the realm of live performances, finding both challenge and delight in the spotlight. However, it’s the connection with the audience, their willingness to engage with my music, and the genuine effort they make to experience it live that fuels my determination to push boundaries and share more of my original creations.

Could you articulate your enduing muscial aspirations over the next three to four years. It would be interesting to understand your vision.

In the foreseeable future, my focus is on carving a niche within the Indian independent music scene. Perfecting my art, creating distinctive yet authentic music, collaborating with like-minded individuals, and expanding my catalog are all integral parts of a bigger picture I’m eager to paint.

You are young and from ‘Gen-Z’ or may be ‘Gen-Alpha’, your though process for sure will be different from the artists who are much elder to you. Could you delineate a defined target audience or demography that you aim to touch with your music?

You are absolute right, the times are different and so is the thought process of my generation. My music seems to resonate particularly well with individuals navigating the complexities of adulthood. I aspire to be a companion for those seeking their unique path in the adulting process.

Drawing inspiration from literary giants like Mirza Ghalib and contemporary artists such as Javed Ali, Rahat Indori, and Gulzar Ji, I also find significant influence in the people I encounter in my daily life. Additionally, delving into the world of Urdu poetry serves as a wellspring of inspiration when I’m crafting my own lyrical narratives.

What is your musical style and the elements that characterise your artistic expression?

I resist categorizing my music into a specific genre, preferring to experiment with different ways of conveying my emotions through words. The essence lies in the emotional power I strive to infuse into every composition, allowing my creativity to roam freely.

What are you current challenges that you encounter in your career, and how do you navigate and overcome them?

Every journey has its challenges, and the path of a musician is no exception. Moments of self-doubt and fear often precede significant milestones, but it is the courage to persevere that defines and propels us forward. Resilience and passion become the driving forces, ensuring the creative journey remains vibrant and evolving.

What approach or strategies you adopt to establish connections and collaborations with your peers and other industry professionals?

The beauty of music lies in its ability to foster connections and collaborations. Genuine connections often lead to the creation of something extraordinary, opening doors to unexpected creative possibilities. The shared passion and creativity between musicians create a unique and enriching journey.

Growth is an important factor. How are you enhancing your footprint?

Recently joining Azadi Records, I’ve found support in navigating the intricate landscape of the music industry. However, my primary focus remains on cultivating a dedicated fan base. I believe that a strong and committed audience is the most effective marketing tool, ensuring sustained success through the highs and lows of an artist’s career.
